Track 01 - The lyrics uses the three people "God, Godfather and father" as the main axis to pass through the whole song. The style of the song is special and good to remember. It gets away from the average pop music style. I thought this song was especially creative out of the songs in the album. It managed to give me the feeling of being in Italy, the mafia, religion and even a bit of opera! The mv doesn't look to meaningful if you don't understand the story. Basically it's about a boy whose family was killed by a mafia boss. The mafia boss doesn't kill the boy but instead takes him in as his own. When the boy grows up, he finds out the truth and so he has to take revenge and kill his godfather!

Track 02 - Heavy metal garrulous music style. An ironic song about drugs, writing out the questions and roaring sent out from those people who depend on medicine and use drugs. This song I think defines Jay style of rapping really fast. The kid Snoopy's sister rapping in it gives the song a different dimension. The song is an interesting take on drugs, literally describing someone who is taking drugs. Also the lyrics seem to be based in a scene of a fire, perhaps the fire could just be a hallucination of the drug addict.

Track 03 - Commercial song for Panasonic, a love song for all seasons. The most personally mild love song of 2003. When that day when it clears up comes, together lets compose a period of pure love. I really enjoyed this song. The style is very Western. The lyrics are quite simple and easy to understand describing someone losing their love.

Track 04 - With the sound of the tapping of the ping-pong ball to pass through the whole song, Jay uses one of his unique compositions to combine them together. Makes people surprised, the lyrics are written from the perspective of a student singing out a lot of suppressed attitude in his heart. I thought this song was very unique in the way it used ping-pong as the topic and even the sound of ping-pong in the song.

Track 05 - Imitated antique minor style of song, assisted with the Erhu and the lute to melt into it. Using ancient poems and modern pop music to combine them. The lyrics alternate between ancient and modern and even has the feeling that time is crisscrossed. I thought this song returned to me the flavour of "Wife" from his first album. The tune is very soothing and slow. Once again the lyrics describe someone losing love and in a state of remembering her.

Track 06 - A love song of the most sweetness between lovers, the secret between us, only you and I know, love that depends on each other makes people unwilling to leave the most. I found this song to be very simple and direct. The melody is simple and the lyrics are simple. When I first heard it, it reminded me a lot of David Tao's "Everyday" - another good song! The lyrics talk about the good things a couple can see in each other that no one else can. In the chorus the innocence of a child shines through and it seems like the narrator of the song is very pure and simple.

Track 07 - Commercial song for Pepsi, the tune uses the timbre of the lute to mould out the atmosphere of Western classics. The intermezzo adds in Argentina tango music to add extra to passing though the song, it is for representing the new laughing generation. The rhythm is quick and relaxing. Explaining that even though two people do not know each other, they can still have hearts that can communicate with each other, and have common hobbies and tacit understanding friends. This song is very distinct and uses many instruments. Though I myself wasn't so sure about putting in the tango bit. I really like the rap bit at the end!

Track 08 - Love has no rules, you need to learn and study by yourself, her eyelashes reveal the message of love, making people unexpected. I actually thought this song was going to be a sad song at the start because of the music and the beginning lyrics. The lyrics talk about a guy's crush on a girl and how he tries so hard. It shows how the smallest movement can show a lot about how someone feels.

Track 09 - Vivian Hsu once again writes lyrics, explaining that love is just like a cliff, the deeper you love the deeper you fall, always cannot be controlled by people. I think this was probably one of the most anticipated songs in the album. I think Vivian has done quite well again, the words fit very well into the song and are simple like in the past. I especially like the last bit at the end talking about how he is buried by time. A very sad song indeed!

Track 10 - The first time Jay composes with the joint sound of indigenous people, China vocal music, combining with the classic piano in music. Composing a new style adagio garrulous style of song, the lyrics are expressed in a funny and humorous way. Suggesting that the people's destruction of the environment is cruel, since the environment has been destroyed, the scenes from the past days are no longer. A very naughty start to the lyrics by Jay! The lyrics really describe in general how the countryside is being destroyed with the building of restaurants and other buildings. The voice of indigenous people adds to the effect, a very meaningful song.

Track 11 - Go through the view of love from "Wife", the view of martial arts from "Nun-Chuks", the spirit of the nation from "Dragon Fist", "Double Blade" is expressing when Chinese people met up with oppression in Chinatown, needing to resist the environment, the unfair treatment, to send out the roar of the new generation. I wasn't too sure about the start of this song, I think Jay could have left out that guy at the beginning. The rest of the song is very good and absolutely to Jay's style. The small bit in the interlude sampling the sound effect from the video game Street Fighter was just classic! I think this song is made for video games, the middle of the song with the sword fight and the violin says to be me a video game!

Overall - I really didn't know what to expect from this album, but it turned out to be really good. When I heard In The Name Of The Father, I wasn't too sure about the style. I think after 3 albums, the way to grade how good a Jay album is, is by how many bad songs there are since most of the songs in Jay's albums are always good to listen to. I actually don't particular hate any one song in the album but more like hate small bits of some songs. I think this album shows us a lot about Jay's music direction, there are a lot more metal songs than his previous albums and also he has written 3 lyrics compare to his usual 2. I think overall, the album is great, with all the songs being good to listen to. Though at the moment I don't spot any absolute classics in the album but perhaps as time goes by I might find a few songs to be even better than when I first listened to them.
